D. C. Model senior secondary school has set many milestones since its inception on 17th April 1980. The school has acquired CBSE Affiliation in 1987. Since then the school has been imparting quality education and imbibing moral values to prepare responsible citizens of a nation.

In order to support and encourage the senior students, the school runs a scholarship program Kasturi Devi Memorial Scholarship in memory of Revered Late Smt. Kasturi Devi (founder Mother) every year. It is a unique online test which is conducted to grant scholarship to the meritorious students of the Tricity. The top four students on the merit list are selected for fully sponsored admission in Class XI. The next sixteen students according to their rank in merit are granted fee concession between 50%-90% (Science and Commerce streams). It is compulsory for Class X students to appear in KDMS Test to seek admission in Class XI.

The school has also joined hands with SAMKALP, an NGO for motivating aspiring youths to compete for civil service examinations. The organization has been shaping the careers of many students especially those from economically weaker backgrounds by rendering their services and providing them a platform. The organization offers services to groom the students of 11th and 12th of our school and provide them coaching to compete for civil service examination.

In order to sensitize the youth towards the challenges of life, the students of senior classes form the school council. The students get benefitted from the counseling by the panel of experts of various streams from time to time. At the end of the session, the spiritual ritual of bidding farewell to the most senior students of the school is always memorable.
